“Do We Have Free Will ?”
Details
The question of whether we have free will is one of the oldest and most debated philosophical questions and an important one to explore.
In day to day life we have decisions to make, should i buy oranges or bananas ? Should i go to the Meetup event or not ? It’s obvious that we have free will, isn’t it ?
When i have just made a decision to, say, go to a concert, i feel that i could have chosen to do something else. Yet many philosophers say this instinct is wrong. According to their view free will is a figment of our imagination and that choices are determined by outcomes of events that have happened in the past or are random.
What do you think ? Do we have free will ?
Join us on November 25th when we will explore, with the aid of teachings from Eckhart Tolle and others, if we have free will or not.

A group of people coming together in a state of presence generates a collective energy field of great intensity. It not only raises the degree of presence of each member of the group but also helps to free the collective human consciousness from its current state of mind dominance.”

"Living A Life Of Presence" - How to Practice The Power of Now- London Retreat - June 24th

Many people say that they understand Eckhart’s teachings intellectually but find it difficult to put them into practice in everyday life. You can read Eckhart’s books, listen to his audio recordings and watch his videos but unless you practice nothing will change.
Eckhart’s spontaneous awakening was rare. Most of us need to practice presence in order for a shift in consciousness to occur.
These retreats are experiential in nature with exercises, meditations and simple techniques to help bring you back to the aliveness of the present moment.
Join us on June 24th when we will explore, with the aid of teachings from Eckhart Tolle and others, how we can practice presence to find more peace and happiness and end suffering.
This will be our continuing exploration of presence and how to integrate Eckhart’s teachings into everyday life.-
Residential Retreats
Practicing Presence – Weekend Silent Retreat – Spring 2024
These are an opportunity for you to retreat from the busyness of day to day life and immerse yourself in the peace and tranquility of the Cornish countryside.
* More details to follow soon *
These include :
- One to one time with myself to explore what you bring to retreat and what you discover during your stay.
- Meditation practice. Stillness and silence are an important part of any retreat. It is only by spending time in stillness that we can really begin to find our true self. I recommend reading Eckhart’s book “ Stillness Speaks “ before attending a retreat.
- Time in nature. We are surrounded by the wonder of nature but so very rarely see it. Spending time in nature is one of our greatest teachers.
The beautiful countryside of Cornwall offers a unique learning ground in the practice of presence.
It’s time to pause and slow down. Listen to the voice of your heart, it’s calling you home. If you are tired of life, feeling stressed, unhappy or dissatisfied with any aspect of your life, and ready for change, then a retreat may be for you. There is a different way to live. It’s time to rest, reflect and discover who you really are.
